Nebraska Shared GIS Services is founded on a partnership between private enterprise
and government with the common goal of providing valuable GIS information to benefit
all Nebraskans. Nebraska Shared Services is comprised of a growing set of base GIS
services and products developed by GIS Workshop, Inc., made available for public
use at no cost. Our goal is to provide GIS data development, GIS application development,
and GIS training services through a common platform to improve access to GIS integrated
technologies. GIS Workshop will continue to make additional products and services
available to contribute to this functional and dynamic shared GIS services system
Nebraska Shared GIS Services provides access to GIS data and GIS services
online without the need for expertise in the field of GIS or complicated GIS software.
This information can be accessed from the home, office, or in the field. Here you
will find quick access to the most up-to-date GIS data layers in the state. Users
will have the option to load data directly into a desktop GIS application such as
ArcMap, load the available REST services or your ArcGIS server application, or ‘See
it Live’ to view data without the need to download or process the information.
